STARS WIN BRONZE
The Saskatoon Stars (West-Saskatchewan) won the bronze medal with a 5-1 victory over the Central Plains Capitals (West-Manitoba). Nara Elia had a goal and two assists, while tournament MVP Sophie Shirley netted the game-winner for her ninth goal of the tournament. Julia Rongve, Mackenna Parker and Kianna Dietz also scored, while Karlee Fetch earned the win in net, turning away 27 of 28 shots.

STARS CLINCH A PLAYOFF BERTH
Saskatoon Stars have clinched a playoff berth with a 3-2 win over the host Red Deer Chiefs.

The Stars are tied for first place with Sudbury, both teams have 1 game remaining today. The Stars will battle Moncton and Sudbury will faceoff against Edmonton.

Semi final action begins Friday.

STARS DROP OPENER AT ESSO'S
Saskatoon Stars opened the Esso Cup at Red Deer with @ 3-2 loss to the Sudbury Wolves. Stars forward Sophia Shirley scored both Stars goals.

Saskatoon will faceoff against the Manitoba champion Central Plains.
