Weyburn Gold Wings announce university commitments.

Bailee Bourassa has signed a commitment to play with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for the 2016/17 season. Bourassa served as team captain for the Gold Wings this past season, in 4 seasons Bailee played in 107 career games and compiled 83 points.

ESSO CUP
A very successfull 2016 Esso Cup hosted by Weyburn Gold Wings wrapped up this past weekend with Brantford Ice Cats defeating Express du Richelieu 10 to 3 in the gold medal game.

Saskatoon Stars were defeated 3-0 in the bronze medal game by the Rocky Mountain Raiders from Okotoks, Alberta. ...

ESSO CUP DAY 2 UPDATE
After two days of action the Saskatoon Stars sit alone in first place with 2 wins, the host Weyburn Gold Wings are winless after two games.
In day two action Anna Leschyshyn (Saskatoon, Sask.) scored two goals and the Saskatoon Stars improved to 2-0 at the 2016 Esso Cup with a 4-2 over the Express du Richelieu on Monday afternoon....

ESSO CUP FIELD IS SET
The field is set for the 2016 Esso Cup in Weyburn, SK. The SFMHL will be represented by 2 clubs at this years nationals, Weyburn Gold Wings are the host for the event & the West Regional champion is the Saskatoon Stars.
The 4 other clubs at the Esso's are Pacific Region Rocky Mountain Raiders, Ontario Region Brantford Ice Cats, Quebec Region Express Du Richelieu & the Atlantic Region Metro Boston Pizza.
