NASH COMMITS TO HUSKIES

The Saskatoon Stars are pleased to announce that 3rd year player Jenna Nash has committed to play for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for the 2015 school year.

Jenna has had an excellent career during her time with the Stars and has just been selected as a member of Team Saskatchewan U18 that will play in the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, BC. 

Jenna is extremely excited about her decision to stay at home and felt that the University of Saskatchewan was the best decision both academically and athletically.

WEYBURN TO HOST 2016 ESSO CUP

Hockey Canada has awarded the 2016 Esso Cup to the Weyburn Gold Wings. Weyburn will host 5 regional champions from Pacific (AB/BC), West (SK/MB), Ontario, Quebec & Maritimes.

Weyburn is the defending Esso Cup champions after winning the title in 2014 at Stoney Creek, Ontario.

The 2015 Esso Cup will be played in Red Deer, Alberta.

In 2010 the Regina Rebels hosted the Esso Cup....

VANCE COMMITS TO BISONS

Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert A & W Bears of the Saskatchewan Midget Female AAA League are pleased to announce that 17 year-old goaltender Jessica Vance has committed to the University of Manitoba Bisons of the CIS starting with the 2015-16 season. Vance will enroll in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the U of M.

SFMAAAHL November 3 Stars of the month are led by veteran goalie Karlee Fetch of the Saskatoon Stars as the 1st Star. Fetch posted 4 wins, 3 shutouts & a 0.50 GAA for the month of November as her club sits in first place.

Karlee has earned high praise from her coaching staff for her work ethic & leadership....
