CENTURY CLUB GROWS

This hockey season the 100 Career Games Played in the regular season has added 5 players to its list.

The latest is Swift Current Wildcat defenseman Gabrielle Gray from Brownlee, SK. She joins Breanne Neudorf - Prince Albert Bears, Chelsea Perepeluk - Regina Rebels, Brooklyn Haubrich - Swift Current Wildcats & Delaney Frey - Regina Rebels.

Frey will finish the season in 2nd overall for Career Games Played.

KIRWAN COMMITS TO HUSKIES

The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats are pleased to announce that grade eleven defenceman, Kayla Kirwan, has comitted to attend the University of Saskatchewan and play for Huskies starting in 2016-2017.

ALUMNI AT UNIVERSIADE

A pair of SFMHL alumni will be participating in the 2015 Winter Universiade Games in Granada, Spain. The event runs from Feb 4 - 14.

Former Regina Rebel forward Jenny MacKnight a member of Windsor University will be joined by defenseman Julia Flinton (Notre Dame Hounds & University of Saskatchewan).

BEARS ALUMNI FACEOFF

Former Bears turned Huskies were recognized before the game between the Prince Albert Bears and Saskatoon Stars on Wednesday, January 21. Kaitlin Willoughby, Chelsey Sundby and Carlee Hrenkiw took part in a ceremonial faceoff.

The three were part of the Huskies squad who won a bronze medal at the 2014 CIS National championship. They are the second (Willoughby), third (Hrenkiw) and fourth (Sundby) leading scorers in the Bears’ franchise history.  

They are seen in the photo with Bears captain Morgan Willoughby and Stars captain Paige Michalenko....

BEARS’ NEUDORF SET TO PLAY IN MILESTONE GAME

When the Prince Albert Bears take to the ice this Sunday, January 18 vs the Battleford Sharks, it will be a milestone game for defenceman, Breanne Neudorf.

The 17 year old from Hague will be playing in her 100th game with the team and will join an elite group of players to hit the century mark.

Neudorf broke into the league during the 2011-12 season when she started as an underage 14-year old. During that time she has 4 goals and 30 assists, leading up to this weekend’s play.
