HOCKEY CANADA INVITES
Hockey Canada has invited 4 Saskatchewan players to its national team camps. Two current SFMHL players were invited to the U18 camp, Brooke Hobson Prince Albert Bears defenseman and Sophia Shirley Saskatoon Stars forward.

Emily Clark & Jaycee Gebhard a pair of Saskatoon Stars alumni were also invited to the National Womens Development Team.

STARS WIN FEDORUK CUP
Saskatoon Stars captured the Fedoruk Cup by sweeping the best of 5 series. Game #3 finished with a 2-0 Stars win. Jordyn Gerlitz & Kianna Dietz scored goals 14 seconds apart in the 2nd period.

Game #1 opened with a thrilling 3-2 double overtime victory for the Stars followed by a 3-0 road win in Prince Albert.

Powerplay units for both teams struggled in the series as Prince Albert was scoreless in 12 powerplays, while the Stars managed 1 goal in 14 powerplays.

CASAVANT COMMITS TO RED DEER
The Prince Albert Bears are proud to announce that 17  year old forward Madison Casavant has committed to play for the Red Deer College Queens for the 2015-16 season. Casavant plans to pursue an Arts degree.
 
Casavant has been on the ice since she was four years old and grew up playing her minor hockey in Melfort with her two brothers.
 
She is a veteran of the SFMAAAHL playing in 73 games over the last three seasons and has 22 goals and 17 assists for 39 points.

LEAGUE HANDS OUT AWARDS

The SFMHL handed out its annual awards Saturday afternoon after game #1 of the league final. All the league awards are named after former Team Canada alumni from Saskatchewan. The award winners are:
